What Poetry should be like

Poetry is a language

A language used worldwide

A language that developed itself into one of resistance

Poetry should be simple

What do I mean?

I can understand at first read the poems written by Irina- I am from Germany, she is from Russia. I can understand her because it seems she had the same teacher. What does this mean? I think all over the world schools teach English the same way, all over the world people have the same basis of knowledge when leaving school.

We all make the same mistake, much too often, and I include myself. We think I can only show my possibilities and development of language and education when using a very sophisticated language filled with words you have to search for.

This is a fallacy!

Poetry is and was made for the weak, just like workers songs.

Poetry is written to connect cultures and people. But it only makes sense when people with basis knowledge are able to understand it. They like to read poems, but what will happen when someone does not understand it from the very beginning and has to ask a dictionary?

I think he will stop to read it.

I think a publisher decides the same way. Are people with a basis of knowledge of any language able to understand it without studying a dictionary first you have a chance.

My conclusion is- if we want to get published we are forced and have to force ourselves to think.
